On our way out of Beaver Crossing, NE we stopped for breakfast at the Beaver Corner Bar. I know usually having breakfast at a bar means you've got a problem. But here the bar is the local spot to stop to eat and have coffee and catch up with everyone.
We are usually not a fan of buffets so we had breakfast cooked to order and they were delicious. Once were full and happy our waitress, Becky, joined us and we talked of our travels and about the great town campsite, pool and baseball game we saw the night before.
Becky told us about the tornado that had devastated the town in 2014 and that the bard had been damaged. The current owners could not let the towns vital meeting place go away so they purchased it and revitalized it.
Becky also gave us some of cards with the highlights of Beaver Crossing on them. Some you may be seeing those cards in the near future.
