Largest Bowie, Selma Park and a Skunk

#vanlife .

A large Bowie* knife? Of course we had to stop for a picture.

The exhibit showed how it was made ane that it cost $160k.

We then headed to Selma Park looking for a campsite. The place had appeared nice on line. And when you take a picture from the right angle it looks nice.

What we found were muddy roads, some passable sites, poor condition bathrooms, overflowing dumpsters and vultures, vultures everywhere.

We called the number listed on the office door to get information on staying the night. However between the poor cell connection and the managers accent, we were not able to get answers we understood.

We had the “Move along, nothing to see here.” feeling. We decided to head north.

And in case we had any second thoughts, a skunk sprayed Sparty on the way out. Though we cleaned him with vinegar and lemon, the smell lingered for days.

We will not be going back to Selma Park.

* Ann at the Brush Creek Winery let us know that Bowie is pronounced boo-E not boe-E
