Rams in Motion

#vanlife .

Our three month shore leave in a condo in St Augustine has come to an end. We have enjoyed the warm weather, music and friends here. Evenings listening to Red Fish Rich at Zaharias or Dave Watts Besley and Friends (or as they are now known, The Carpet Baggers) at our favorite bar.

And we enjoyed listening to fellow Mass native Bill on sax.Sax

Kayaking has gotten us out into the “real” Florida. No theme parks or rides. Just water, trees, snakes, water, alligators and water.

Did I mention that Florida has lots of water? So much water that Mrs Ram was inspired to write a letter to the editor.

Mr Ram’s golf has improved but he has yet to break 100. Too many of his golf balls have taken out personal ads reading, “Balls seeking water for long term relationship.” Mrs Ram enjoyed a few rounds as well and is much better at avoiding the water. Maybe the water has read that letter…

We have repacked our van Sparty and our kayaks are secure on top.

Yet we struggle to round up those last few items. The open road beckons but part of us does not want to let go of the stability and convenience of a traditional residence.

But most of the winter snow birds are gone. We now recognize no one at the pool. And as we sit enjoying the sunset a teen jumps from the second floor down in front of us. Yes it is time for us to move on.
