Our first drive up to Logan pass was uninspiring. Wildfire smoke placed a haze over everything.
The trail to the lake was more reminiscent of busy sidewalk than a wilderness trail.
On the way back we stopped and hiked to St Mary’s overlook. We could see nearly the entire lake and several places where glaciers had been. We also saw people using their cell phones. Damn Verizon customers.
Overnight wind and rain gave us a whole new view.
Finally had a good view of Jackson Glacier too.
