For us nomads Saturday night is usually the most challenging night for having a place to park. We often try to arrive early on a Friday or even on Thursday to ensure we can get a campsite for the weekend.
We arrived at Benewah Campground in the Idaho Heyburn State Park on Thursday and it had several RV sites available. Friday there were none.
Usually anybody at a campground on a Friday night is there for the weekend. We were surprised Saturday afternoon to see five sites open up. The two women next to us were from Spokane and had a wedding shower that evening. I guess the others also had something they just had to get back for.
Late afternoon found several desperate campers rolling in. All of them became happy campers because they each found a campsite.
