“What the heck was that!”
It took several seconds to realize a truck going the other way at 70 mph on Montana Rt 2 had sprayed us with rocks. Our windshield had a couple of half dollar size cracks and several other smaller ones.
Our hope of making Canada by the end the day was shattered – just like our windshield.
As we were trying to figure out what to do, we saw a the Ram dealer in Wolf Point MT. They suggested a glass shop on Glasgow, about a half hour away.
We continued west thinking a national chain might be best to replace our windshield. Mrs Ram got authorization from our insurance company and we found a Safelite shop in Great Falls that said they could replace it the next morning.
It was already mid afternoon and the shop was over 5 hours away. Our new goal was Great Falls by 8 am the next day.
