The Gulf Coast

#vanlife .

As we headed east along the coast, the days were warm but wet. Mississippi offered a pleasant drive right along the water with some places like Pass Christian with upscale, large houses. A marker outside said it was the winter White House for Woodrow Wilson.  Pass Christian also had a Walmart with some of the best reviews for overnight stays but we arrived way to early to stop there.

Bay St Louis was like many other small tourist towns on the water while Biloxi looked like it was trying to be Vegas on the beach with high rise casinos. The Waffle House was an early adopter in Mississippi and had several locations with a view of the Gulf.

We had been thinking a bike ride along the beach might be fun. The supposed bike path is some areas was more challenging than we dared to try.

As the sky got darker we wondered where we would spend the night. We had run out of Mississippi shore and had not found Alabama hospital to us van dwellers last year. An hour and half drive would bring us at a place we have been before: The Florabama.
