The Parthenon in … Nashville?

#vanlife .

We traveled from the pyramid in the ancient Egyptian city of Memphis to the Parthenon in the Greek city of… Nashville?
The Greeks built the template to honor the goddess Athena.  The city of Nashville (not in ancient Greece) built it as a temporary display for the 1897 Tennessee Centennial.  It was supposed to be razed after this but residents protested and it was eventually rebuilt as a permanent structure.

Mrs Ram posses at the entrance to the Nashville Art Museum that is now housed in the building.

  1. Looks like you are moving fast. The whole state of Texas only had a few attractions. Are you heading to Nashville and the music scene? Is there anything in Arkansas besides the border? See you when you wander back into the Liberal Bastion.

    1. We will be spending more time in Texas but did not have the time on this trip. Nashville did have great music.
