This is one of towns with a great name that you have to stop at.
The town was originally called Hot Springs. In 1950 when game show host Ralph Edwards said he would like some town to change its name to Truth or concequences, residents of Hot Springs jumped at the opportunity. They liked the free advertising and the ability to distinguish itself from other towns named hot springs.
Since then they have opportunities to change the name back but have chosen to keep it.thwy do however often abreviate it to T or C.
We dropped in at the T or C Brewery which was open. The La Esperanza Winerywe had stopped at earlier in the day had been clised. Another win for breweries.
We did wonder about some people’s clothing choices. One woman was wearing a bra and ripped short shorts. She completed her ensemble with a very see through shell.
Then there was the truck cruising up the main street with an occasional blast from his horn. His third time through was quieter. He was being followed by a sheriff’s car.
