Coe Landing County Campground

#vanlife .

One of the big changes we have noticed as we started out now is much fewer places seem to have the option of just showing up and getting a campsite.  Coe Landing County Campground required online reservations.  When we arrived the self pay station had a plastic bag over it.

We picked site 18 from the on line map.  We missed that it was close to dump station and had a street light that shined into the site.  These are things we would have noticed if we could have driven the campground first.  Despite this it was a good site.  It was too warm to have a fire and the sun set so late the light made little difference.  The site was level and the small campground was nice.

Covid restrictions on the bathrooms included a one person or family at a time rule.  We took the sign at face value and both used one bathroom for showering so that we were not taking up both the ladies and the men’s bathrooms.  Little did we know some would ignore the sign and just walk in anyway.

We also met some nice people during our 2 night stay. Jerry and Linda were from southern Florida and Bill and family were from northern Florida.  We enjoyed meeting and talking with people just like had done before covid.

From our camp site we could walk to the Coe Landing boat ramp…

(I am rusty at this and the one thing I forgot here was to take a picture.  So rather than trying to fill the page with 1000 words to make up for it, I am apologizing now and promising to take pictures from now on.  Otherwise I will need to come up with a lot more words…)
