We spent the last few days with Mrs. Rams friends on a Centennial Farm in Michigan.
When many of us think of a farm, we recall the children book with Mr. Brown feeding the chickens and the cows and having a small field of corn.
The reality involves heavy-duty, specific-purpose equipment, replacing broken parts, hard work, waiting for fields to dry so you can work on them and then praying for rain once they are planted.
After a few days on the farm I now know that children’s book leaves a lot out.
