Our old nemesis – gravity.
That is what the founder of Babson College, Roger Babson, thought. Besides starting colleges and running for president under the Prohibition Party, he established the Gravity Research Foundation. Though the foundation closed in 1967, its legacy lives on in stone monuments at 15 colleges including Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
After parking on Oxford Rd we then had to find the monument. The description suggested walking up the hill. We walked up the sidewalk and onto the university campus. Mr Ram realized that the directions really weren’t complete and asked a passerby if she knew of its whereabout Cathy.
Cathy did not know where the monument was but was intrigued that there was one. The three of us wandered around eventually finding it behind the science building.
