As we traveled down I-84 in the rain, we noticed signs for trustworthy, brave reverent…it seemed like there were Boy Scouts nearby. Sure enough Troop 15 from Holland Connecticut was passing out coffee and donuts to weary travelers.
We enjoyed their coffee and split a croissant while chatting with the scouts and some of the leaders. Mrs Ram found that leaders in CT struggle as much as she did getting parents to help out. Mr Ram reminded the scout to use bug spray and check for ticks when they go out into the woods.
Soon we were back on the road but not before having a second cup of coffee. That ensured we would be stopping again soon at another rest stop.
