When we pulled into the Garden of the Gods campground, we noticed a big sign dir the Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort. There was also mention of happy hour. Who could resist that?
On Friday night we took the short walk up the street and enjoyed happy hour beer. We chatted with Scott, the maintenance guy for the resort.
The group that played that Friday night, Sandy Wells and Band was good and we danced to several songs.
The owner, Torri, and Sandys mom celebrated birthdays that night but sadly there was no cake. But there was some hula (hoop) dancing.
On Saturday morning the resort sponsored a ride with options for 2 or 4 hours. Considering the altitude and the minimal amounts of riding Mr Ram ha done he opted for the lesser ride.
Eeking out this last miles channing “Steve” fund the pace that you can finish accompanied a local Sharon who knew the route back.
The resort just might be the place for a future stay as it seems they have spots to park campers in the back.
