We arrived early at 10 am (they opened at 11 am) to ensure we could get a parking spot close to the park entrance. The parking attendent initially was not going to let us stay saying we were an RV. I told her we were not an RV and only needed a regular parking spot. She eventually relented and took our $25.
Once inside we found they had typical Midway goods and rides. The raffle ticket to win a GMC truck and a 5th wheel RV were tempting but we suspected the US and Mass taxes would break our budget. They also had barns with stock animals and some art exhibits.
We got a taste of the evening show with the Mini Chuck wagon races in the Western Events Center.
Mrs Ram has done Team Penning so she knew the struggles those riders faced. She tried to tell them how to do it but they weren’t listening!
The Cowboy Up challenge pitted the riders and horses against a challenging course. We wondered who thought skeleton horses was a good idea. Though none of the horses seemed to mind them.
Full size Chuck wagon races in the evening were impressive.
