Our fist night in the Copper Breaks Comanche Campground all but one site full.
Our second night here found the campground nearly empty. We had a great fire using many of the logs left by weekend campers. At bed time I spread out the logs and coals to put out the fire. I then headed to the bathroom
On my way there I hear, “Excuse me Hello. Hello. Your fire is making smoke.” I was shocked, shocked to find out that fires cause smoke.
“Can you put it out?”
I started to think of all kinds of witty comebacks. Like, “Smoke happens”, “Where there is smoke there is fire” or “If you don’t like smoke from campfires maybe you should be staying in a motel 6.”
I was good and just said, “Sure, as soon as I get back from the bathroom.”
The next few days we ran into her and her little dog and I waved. She did not wave back.
