Our site 31 in the Comanche camping area did have trees for shade. The restrooms were not the best and Saturday night campers left quite a mess in ladies room. At least the showers were hot.
On our first full day we hiked the 1.6 mile Rocky Ridge Trail they had marked as challenging. The climb left us both a bit winded but we enjoyed the view
That view made us realize that kayaking the lake would not be a long paddle. We opted to hike the Bull Canyon trail on our second day.
