Dinosaurs have been part of our travels since the beginning. When we saw Texas had a state park for them we tried to book a camp site there. But even months in advance all the campsites were reserved.
We had to settle for just a few hours with the dinosaurs. When we arrived the park ranger asked if we had a day reservation. We answered no. She suggested that any future texas State Park trips should especially as we got closer to summer. Who knew these long dead beasts were so popular
After passing through the entrance we were greeted by some friendly faces.
This is the way dinosaurs looked as we were growing up. Infact theses guys came from the 1964-1965 worlds fair.
Now they believe they looked differently and have even renamed the Brontosaurus to an Acrocanthosaurus.
The dinosaur prints were located in the Paluxy River. We found a few prints at the “Main Site” but there were many more at the “Ballroom Site”
And wading in the river on a hit day was refreshing.
