In Massachusetts, drivers will often push a yellow light. But once its red they usually stop. Sections of Alabama we have been in, if it turns yellow you need to start breaking. In Florida, a red often seems like more of a suggestion than an mandate to stop.
In Denver Colorado I am not sure what the local “custom” is, but when someone running a red light intersects with someone crossing when they have the light to cross, it does not end well for the pedestrian.
After seeing that Large Mexican? Hat slide we headed north. As traffic slowed to a stop, we were about a dozen cars back from the intersection. Mrs Ram exclaimed, “What was that?”
Had a pedestrian just been hit? She wasn’t sure and no one seemed to be moving to check. We pulled into the parking lot at the intersection and saw a man lying face down on the hot street.
Mrs Ram’s scout training kicked in, checking on him and keeping him from moving.
It seemed like forever but police and ambulance finally arrived. They had us all move back and also rounded up a few people who had been close and seen the accident.
There are a few lessons we can take from this.
