Our trip to Gibraltar wore on us even more than we thought. Mr Ram had picked up a bad cold and sore throat and Mrs Ram’s back had gone “ta-woing.”
We needed some good drugs…I mean medications. And here all medication must be bought at the farmacia. Fortunately there are lots of them around.
Our first item was Aspirin. At Walmart a bottle of one hundred, 325 mg is a buck.
I was shocked when the pharmacist said twenty would almost 6 EU! Sure they are 500 mg but that still works out to about $19 for that Walmart bottle. Someone is making serious money on that Aspirin.
Next were throat lozenges. These are something we can usually pick up anywhere. Here? The farmacia. And they were large.
Lastly was painkiller and muscle relaxant. We feared that we would be told Mrs Ram would need to see a doc for that. Nope. The pharmacist just went out back and got some for her.
Now we will see how well they work.
