Like any good Florida attraction, one of the exits from the bar/church is through the gift shop. We resisted buying any of the usual trinkets but were drawn to the table piled with books. Behind the table was the author, Chris Warner.
We talked with Chris about his variety of books and about the FloraBama area, also called the Redneck Riviera.
The history of the bar and the area was appealing so we picked up a copy of his book Bushwhacked.
