We have enjoyed seeing a number of of ancient Indian dwellings.
These people had a beautiful, well hidden spot with access to water. Used only in the 1300s we were surprised to hear they were not related to the tribes at Chaco Canyon.
Our trip here had a second purpose. Is this a good area for a bike ride?
Some sections had good breakdown lanes while others had none.
Lack of shade plagues some section while others had temps in the 40s with snow (in June!)
Then there is the elevation. There is a lot of long and short, steep hills as you ride between 4,250 ft an 8,000 ft. And there is also the struggle of trying to breath while over a mile high.
And we did note some ghost bikes.
So is this a good place for a bike ride? Mrs Ram’s thought was, “ARE YOU FRIGGIN CRAZY!!!”
Time will tell how crazy we really are.
