After a few days of rain, we new more would be coming in. We arrived at our campsite just before the storm hit. We got our laundry in off the line but as we were taking our line down the roar of the approaching storm warned us to just jump in the van. That is when the hail came. Golf ball sized chunks battered our van. There was nothing we could do but wait for it to stopThe next morning we surveyed the damage. Mirrors on both sides, a cracked tail light, the hood was dented, a wiper was trashed and the back up camera housing had a hole in itStill we were lucky. Others in our camp area had winshields, back and side windows buysted, skylight destroyed and leaking roofs. One person had been hit and had to go to the hospital. We were glad we were not in a nearby county. They had apple sized hail.
