Initially Mr Ram thought the dealer could fix the hail damage to Sparty. Most of what he had had seen was plastic parts. However the day before the appointment, the dealer called and said a body shop needs to do the assessment. They suggested Larry H Miller just next door.
Robert, the assesor, was able to do the assessment that day. The damage was over 5k and included dents in the hood and roof.
The agent for the insurance company and the auto body shop then spent several days arguing over availability and costs of parts and labor. Unbeknownst to all of us, our insurance company had just cut a check for the initial amount.
When we finally found that out we had lost nearly a week.
I had expected that plastic part could be found quickly while the hood would take longer. I was weong. The hood could be gotten in a day and done quickly. Plastic parts would take a week.
So Sparty has a new hood and plastic parts will wait untill we are settled for a while.
