Huelva was out of the way from our original itinerary but we felt we should stop by and pay our respects to “The man who never was.”
A dead man, who some say was Glyndwr Michael, was floated a shore near here with the fake name of Major William Martin and fake orders meant to encourage the Germans to move forces out of Sicily to protect Greece. Needless to say it work and his body is buried in the cemetery on the edge of town.
One of there nearby family sites made me think there was might be an elevator to the subway or atm inside.
And it looked like one the resident of one of the wall crypts had made an escape.
