Mrs Rams friends had suggested we stop at the Legs Inn in Cross Village MI becuase the food was excellent. It was also at the end of the Tunnel of Trees.
It also is known for some unique items.
We were seated at a nice table outside and given menus. We figured out what we wanted and then we waited. As we were thinking we should move to the bar or move on, waitress said she would be right with us. We waited a couple of more minutes and then headed to the bar.
The bartender Glen quickly got us two Edmund Fitzgerald Porters and took our order for a Polish Sampler. The beer and foid was excellent. We chatted with Glen and a couple at the other end of the bar. After several minutes, we moved to the other end if the bar so it was easier to talk.
Linda and Joe were from Grand Rapids and we’re staying in one of the Inn’s cabins. As we chatted, Linda would sign some of our conversation for Joe. They invited us to stay longer and learn the card game ucher.
We decided to move on to Mackinaw but did learn our first bit American Sign Language or ASL,“Nice to meet you”
