We had stopped at the Meteor Crater east of Santa Fe but decided not to go in once we realized it cost $18 each to look in we continued on.
However in West Texas we found another Meteor Crater in Odessa. And it had one if the features we really enjoy in an attraction – it was free.
This crater had been filled in over the 10s of thousands of years so we did not see that impacted look you can see on moon craters.
It was not overly impressive but it was worth the brief stop and short walk to stretch our legs.
And we liked seeing the relative distance of the planets indicated by markets on the road. Sadly the demoted planet Pluto wasn’t shown.
