We enjoyed listening to the Trading Poston KCTX. It was not as polished as some stations broadcast. We would hear the phone ringing, doors and cabinets open or chairs squeak.
Besides their sale items they also had announcement such as:
- Senior menu Thursday at noon
- 2020 graduates of Childress and Quanah sponsored by local businesses and churches
- Daddy’s bbq in Childress
- Jobs available
- Vaccine clinics on Tuesdays
- Santa Rosa round up
The Round Up sounded interesting so Mrs Ram emailed about it. Jay responded and we learned that it was in Vernon TX.
We were surprised when Mrs Ram’s email was mentioned on the radio the next day. She had used one of her old glia emails. So now Mrs Ram was Glia.
Mrs Ram, I mean Glia, emailed back noting that we traveling and that we had a blog.
The next day Glia and Old Mass Rambler got a shout out from Jay.
Did they say to “keep you eye out for two crazy nomadic landscaping Yankees that seem to be lost in the lone star state looking for some roundup” ?
