The Coe County Landing was not busy on Friday morning. We put in on Lake Talquin and tried to head up the Ochlockonee River. We had enough signal so Mr Ram thought he could use Google maps to navigate the many twists and side waterways. It quickly became obvious that Google classified weeds, flowers, mud and seemingly dry land as water. Mrs Rams water sense eventually led us to the correct route.
As we made our way up the river we could hear voices. Finally we approached a couple sitting on the bank. She was fishing and talking. He was just fishing. As we approached she greeted us like long lost friends.
Since we had been heading up Ochlockonee Rriver, we had to paddle back by them. Again she was happy to see us and Mrs Ram and her carried on as we drifted by. Before we were completely out of ear shot her fishing partner finally spoke. He suggested that not everyone necessarily wants to have a long conversation. She told him that was just the way she was and there was no harm in it and… I suspect he has yet to get another word in.
