Often it seems one word can pin you as a local or a tourist. If you hear “eh” (as in” Long drive, eh?”) You think Canada. If some one ads “for sure” to a sentence, you figure they are from Michigan. Or ask Mr Ram where to leave his vehicle at that Cambridge college and you will know he is from Boston.
While in Prescott we were immediately tagged as tourists when we said Prescott – i.e. Press-cot. Turns out locals call it press-kit or as one local said, “Rhymes with biscuit.”
