As we headed south on the west side of Glacier we knew we might be near some wild fires. We stopped at the Swan Lake ranger station located at the north end of Flathead Lake. The woman there said there were fires to the south but roads were open.
After camping again on the side of a mountain (again for free) we headed south.
As we approached Seely, we saw these.
These are large bags of water ready to be dropped on the fires. The smoke on the road did get bad.
We were glad to get beyond it.
