This Utah National Forest Campground at 8,200 feet delivered just what we wanted – warm days and cool nights. Singletree Campground was also twenty minutes to Capitol Reef and had a number of first come site (6-21,31).
That is if you hit the road construction light just right. If not, you needed to add at least 10 minutes to your trip.
Though the campground had no showers, it did have a short but steep hike to a beautiful, cold waterfall.
In some way we were sad to leave when it was time to move on.
However our camp host mentioned that the families and retires that filled the campground would be replaced with over a hundred youth group girls the day after we planned to leave. Moving on seemed like it was the best choice.
