After some challenging driving and a disagreement over who was pulling into a gas pump first, we needed a break. And the roadside sign said winery this exit.
Barren Ridge would not be my first choice for a winery name but their wine was delicious and they had a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy their wine.
After sleeping at a comfortable and affordable Best Western in Chambersburg we drove the auto tour route at Gettysburg National Military Park. The battlefield is large and the markers for different units and casualties are everywhere.
Both Mrs Ram and I struggled with this Tennessee marker. If there are 67 wounded and 104 missing wouldn’t that make 171 wounded and missing?
One could easily spend days walking the different area and learning the details of the battle. We had a couple of hours.
We headed to Hershey Theater for a hilarious evening with Fluffy and then a tasty dinner at Lazzaro’s Italian Bistro.
Our final night on the road found us once again at Walmart, this one in Palmyra. Rain and idling tractor trailers lulled us to sleep.
Welcome back
