We enjoy stopping at wineries. Some have been closed while others have fun. Despite having a nearly full wine box, we had to stop at the Ponderosa Winery that our friends had recommended.
Mary, the owners was just finishing with two men when we came in. The five us talked for a while before we settled in for a free tasting.
When Mary learned we were hikers, she gave us instructions for hikes furthers up rt 290.
We decided to do this next time we are through. We were headed to Redondo Campground and had no reservation and did not want to arrive too late.
During our visit, Mary did give some advice about not worrying about things beyond our control. Her summary was, “Not my monkey, not my circus”
As we travel we have on occasionally seen people doing things we thought weren’t very bright. We have thought, “Should we say something or do some thing?” Now we just think of her words, “Not my monkey, not my circus.”
