We had visited a ghost town in Montana and had enjoyed walking through a town and buildings left behind in the sands of time.
We had similar hopes for Lobo. Unfortunately this was a “look but don’t touch” attraction.
You can see the town from a pull out on Texas Route 90 but it is encircled with a fence with a triple locked gate.
Apparently the Germans who now own it only open it up once every two years for a film festival.
We did notice traces of the towns past along the road. In it’s heyday the area produced many trips including cotton. Bits of that once popular crop cotton drifted on the side of the road.
Will farmers return or the once every two year festival eventually rejuvenate this town? And if they do, will the ghosts mind?
