The Pinnacles Campground was located on Brooks Lake at 8,200 feet, east of the Grand Tetons in Wyoming. There were a number of beautiful, open sites and few people here. The ones were saw were local families enjoying a day fishing.
We chose a site that overlooked Brooks Lake.
Our neighbors were running a generator at times but is was fairly quite. They also fired up their chain saw to cut some wood and then shared some with us.
We need that wood as it was cold despite it being almost the end of June.
The big concern about our the site was is proximity to one of the pit toilets. Our expectations for good it toilets are low: somewhat clean, not too many flies, smell not too bad.
Our first indication that this pit toilet would be different were the chairs outside.
Thanks to the camp hosts, the Pinnacles pit toilets were far above expectations
