We imagined wandering through lots of beautiful patios adorned with flowers. Then sipping a beer in a little Cafe while planning our next patio walk. The reality was very fifferent.
Long lines and large tour groups made accessing just one patio 15 to 20 minutes of standing in the heat.
On our second day we took the #12 bus (1.3 eu each) to the Jardines de la Merced to escape some of the tourist. There were some patios with tour groups but definitely more patios with short lines.
Nearly every patio had a well or water fountain. And some patios had displays of art, tools or in one instance, clocks.
