Las Vegas was a last minute addition to our travels and we did not realize that we passed right by the Hoover Dam. Mrs Ram did a quick search and discovered you can see it and drive over it for free. Parking and tour both cost.
We took exit 2 in Nevada, passed through the security check point, parked and walked out for a view of the dam.
We then drove down to the dam and over it. You can’t stop on the dam but you can drive really slow and let every pedestrian cross.
And then we drove back over it.
A trip up to the over look and you can see Lake Mead.
It is impressive what our country can do when we set our minds to it.
Lake Mead always amazes me, all that water and no growth around the water line.
