When we arrived at Frazier Park in Ulysses, KS, we asked a police officer were the camping was. He said there pay sites with full hook-ups and free sites with no utilities. We opted for a free site.In the early evening there were lots of families playing volleyball which was fun to watch. After 9 pm the families drifted away and there was a steady stream of teens coming, going and hanging out. They were not doing anything wrong but the crowd was so large we choose to leave. At this point it was getting dark and our apps gave us no close options. We debated parking in the hotel parking lot but worried that they might notice and call the cops. In the end we headed to the Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital and parked on the street with some cars that we suspected were the overnight shift. We usually find places to park overnight where we are welcome. This spot left us wondering if we would get a knock on the door and be asked to move on. The knock never came but it left us with uneasy sleep. But we did sleep. At about 8 am we noticed a change over of cars which confirmed our suspicion. We returned in the morning to Frazier Park to cook breakfast. The shower, which had been a mess the previous night, had been cleaned and Mrs Ram jumped in.Dawn, a local out for a walk, stopped to chat with us after breakfast. After breakfast we crossed the road to the Brentwood Golf Course and played the front 9 holes. We quickly noticed that most greens and fairways were sloooow. The rain over the previous few days had kept them from mowing. We both did terribly here. Yep it definitely those slow greens and fairways.
