While in Huelva we also wanted to see the replicas of ships of Columbus. We had thoughts of reenactors filing us in on details of their lives during their voyage.
What they had were the three ships.
They were interesting, seemingly way too small for an ocean voyage but they did the job. Well two out of three that is. The largest of them, the Santa Maria did not make it back.
The most unexpected thing was the curved deck. Presumably that kept water from pooling and getting into the ship.
I had to be careful taking a selfie that I did not drop my phone. It would slide to edge and into the water.
They also had some displays of the natives that Columbus met. The Indians were, shall we say, depicted completely.
